I've been playing around with digital stamps - I can't decide whether to make cards or try some scrapbook layouts. I'm not much of a scrapbook person, so I'm leaning towards cards. So far I found some great digital stamps at Squigglefly, but I'm scouting the internet for more sources. I'm using colored pencils and it looks good, but I think I'm going to try some watercolor pencils to see if I get a better result. When colored pencils, it looks kind of flat. Gotta wait till the next paycheck ;)
I've been doing some crocheting. I keep on going to yarn stores, but I really should use the stash I have already, but I can't resist.
My efforts at decoupage have been so-so. I've been trying to use Mod Podge to seal everything in layers, but I keep getting streak marks and I'm not happy with the look at all. So, I've put that aside for a little bit.

Crafts for Christmas
I hate shopping. I especially hate shopping for Christmas presents, wading through rude people who are intent on going into debt to please their family and friends. In a lot of cases people would just be happy with a gift that you put a lot of thought into.
I used to work in customer service for a retail company and a woman told me her father's Christmas would be ruined if his gift didn't arrive on time. I thought if that will ruin a holiday, she has some problems.
So to avoid the stores and to make it a little easier on my wallet, I've decided to go with a handmade Christmas.
I'll try to document my efforts and progress on this blog!
